- Please note advanced group lessons are not available. If you are capable of skiing or riding blue runs competently, skiing bumps and exploring black terrain then Private Lessons are the best option.
First Time Group Lesson
Trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time? Our two-hour First Time group lesson is a great way to learn the basics of stopping and turning and you will have access to a number of beginner lifts to practice your new skills with a lift pass included with the purchase of your First Time group lesson. This is a packaged lift & lesson product and only available for your first time skiing or snowboarding experience.

Adult Ski & Snowboard Lessons

All lessons can be purchased here online just above! Alternatively, they can be purchased in person at any ticket office, Buller Sports locations in Mansfield or Mt Buller, Altitude retail store, or at the Ski and Snowboard School front desk.
Lift and lesson packages are available at all of the above locations and online.
To ensure you get your preferred lesson option and avoid disappointment, we highly recommend purchasing your lesson online in advance.

Lift passes can be purchased right here on the Mt Buller Website Lift Passes Page and loaded directly onto your B-TAG. Alternatively, they can be purchased in person at any ticket office, Buller Sports location in Mansfield or Mt Buller, at the Altitude retail store, or at the Ski and Snowboard School front desk.
Lift and lesson packages are available at all of the above venues and online.
- No - It is no longer a requirement to collect a lesson ticket. Simply purchase your lessons and they will be stored on your B-TAG along with your lift access. Head directly out to the lesson meeting place at the designated time and our friendly staff will assist you into the correct lesson

Adult and Teen ski and snowboard lessons, meet at Heli Flat (outside the Ski and Snowboard School) near the bottom of the ABOM chairlift.

Helmets are compulsory for all children participating in lessons and are included free with Buller Sports rental packages. A bicycle or motorcycle helmet is not accredited, it must be a ski or board helmet.
Mt Buller supports and encourages all skiers and snowboarders to wear a helmet.

Buller Sports is conveniently located within the Ski & Snowboard School building and offers ski & snowboard rentals for all ages.
Goggles, gloves and other accessories may be purchased from retail outlets in the Ski and Snowboard School building, as well as drinks and snacks.

Your Season Membership is your unlimited access to the lift network at Mt Buller all snow season.
The Ski & Snowboard School has 'lesson only' products available for all Adult lessons, full and half-day Buller Kids (7-14 yr olds) and Bunyips (3-6yr olds) programs that can be purchased separately from lift passes. Season Membership holders enjoy a 10% discount on Ski & Snowboard School group lessons and select private lessons (conditions apply. Not valid for Bunyips programs or seasonal programs).
Discounts can be applied online by using your discount code, located at the bottom of your Season Membership email confirmation receipt.

A First Timer Ski or Snowboard lesson is for those who have never skied or snowboarded before. Included in a 'First Timer Lift + Lesson' package is a restricted full-day lift pass, to 3 First Timer lifts (ABOM Express Chair, Bourke St Express Chair and Bourke St Carpet).
The 'First Timer Lift + Lesson' package does not include a B-TAG and does not include rental equipment. There is a rental location within the ski and Snowboard School building where you can hire ski and snowboard gear.

After completing a 'First Timer' lesson (Ski or Snowboard), you can progress your skills by taking a Beginner/ Intermediate lesson.
When booking here online, select the product 'Adult/ Teen 15+ Ski/ or Snowboard Lesson Only'. When you arrive for your lesson, you will be allocated into the correct group based on your skill level and experience.
You are required to purchase a lift pass separately to the Beginner or Intermediate Adult/ Teen 15+ Lesson.

Ski lessons meet on-snow at the front of the Ski and Snowboard School (check out the maps here). Flags clearly mark each lesson start, e.g. Buller Kids (7-14 year olds), Adult/Teen 15+ Group, or Private lessons.
Bunyips (3-6 year olds) can be registered at the Bunyips centre, located inside the Ski and Snowboard School on level 3.
Aim to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your lesson start time with ski equipment already fitted.

Kids group snowboard lessons (Buller Kids) also meet at Heli Flat outside of Ski School.
All private lessons meet outside the Ski and Snowboard school.
