There is nothing like a one-on-one lesson to improve your skiing or snowboarding skills with a dedicated instructor. Book in for an hour or up to a whole day. It's your lesson, your way. Our instructors will tailor a lesson to best meet your needs and goals. Plus you’ll also get access to our exclusive Ski & Snowboard School priority lift lanes, which means more snow time and maximum results.

Where do I meet my private instructor?
All private lessons meet near the Ski & Snowboard School close to the ABOM Restaurant. Your instructor will meet you at the private lesson flags which are in alphabetical order by your surname.
How do I book a private lesson?
Private lessons may be booked online, over the telephone on (03) 5777 7877 or at the Ski & Snowboard School sales counter. We recommend booking online in advance to secure your preferred time.
- Online private lesson bookings must be made 2 days in advance of the lesson date.
- Private lesson prices are for one person. Additional people (up to 5) may be added at $30 per person.
- CAUTION: If booking an 8:30 private lesson and you are travelling from outside of Mt Buller we highly recommend you purchase a later private lesson time - it is unlikely you will arrive to the Ski & Snowboard School in time for your lesson. If renting equipment, we suggest collecting the gear the day prior or you risk being late for your lesson.

Private Ski & Snowboard Lessons

Lift passes can be purchased through the Mt Buller online store and loaded directly onto your B-TAG. Alternatively, they can be purchased in person at any ticket office, Buller Sports location in Mansfield or Mt Buller, at the Altitude retail store, or at the Ski and Snowboard School front desk.
Lift and lesson packages are available at all of the above venues and at the Mt Buller online store.
- Yes - you are required to collect your lesson ticket for all ski & snowboard lessons. These may be collected prior to the start of your lesson at any ticket office, Buller Sports location in Mansfield or Mt Buller, at the Altitude retail store, or at the Ski and Snowboard School front desk.

Ski and snowboard lesson tickets within our children's programs provide important information, such as emergency contact details, child's name, age and any allergy conditions. This assists our team to ensure we deliver the highest standards of care.
Lesson tickets also allow our team to verify your purchase within the meeting place and assist you in finding the correct lesson.
- Check out the Find Your Level page to help you determine this. Your instructor on your first day will also talk to you and ask questions to determine your skill level.
- If you miss your lesson you will not be entitled to a refund or credit. Please see the Terms and Conditions for more detail.

When making a ski or snowboard private lesson booking you are making a reservation for an instructor at the designated time and date.
Cancellations or amendments to the time or date of a ski or snowboard private lesson booking must be made prior to the commencement of the private lesson.
All requests are to be in writing to snowsports.school@skibuller.com.au or made in person at the Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School Sales Counter.
The amendment or cancellation will only be accepted from the person whose name the booking is made in and will attract the following fees;
- $50 where the cancellation or amendment to the time or date is made more than 5 days prior to the original booking time and date;
- $100 where the cancellation or amendment to the time or date is made between 24 to 48 hours prior to the original booking time and date;
- 100% of the booking total where the cancellation or amendment to the time or date is made within 24 hours of the original booking time and date.
Credit notes may be issued for private lessons cancelled due to illness or injury. The Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School requires a medical certificate by a doctor to be presented within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson by email. The licensed medical practitioner must not be related to the participant by blood, marriage or in a de facto living arrangement.

Your Season Membership is your unlimited access to the lift network at Mt Buller all snow season.
The Ski & Snowboard School has 'lesson only' products available for all Adult lessons and full and half-day Buller Kids (7-14 yr olds) programs that can be purchased separately from lift passes (not available for Bunyips 3-6yr olds). Season Membership holders enjoy a 10% discount on Ski & Snowboard School group lessons and select private lessons (conditions apply. Not valid for Bunyips programs or seasonal programs).
Discounts can be applied online by using your discount code, located at the bottom of your Season Membership email confirmation receipt.

Private lessons can only be booked online at least 2 days in advance of the lesson date.
- Private lessons allow a maximum of 6 people per lesson. Prices online are quoted for one (1) person. Additional people (up to 5 extras) are added for a per person fee.
