All vehicles travelling to the resort are required by law to carry diamond‑pattern wheel chains. Penalties apply if you arrive without them.
Some vehicles are not able to fit wheel chains due to manufacturer restrictions. We recommend checking your vehicle’s owner manual before hiring chains. If your vehicle isn’t suitable, there are alternative transport options available to help you get to the resort safely.
Wheel chains must be hired before arriving at the Mirimbah entry gates at the bottom of the mountain. You’ll find wheel chain hire outlets conveniently located in Mansfield and Merrijig.
- If you can’t print your dashboard pass, have a copy of your purchase confirmation on hand and stop at the resort entry gate when you arrive (at the bottom of the mountain), the resort entry team are able to print your pass for you.

Parking attendants will greet and direct you to the closest available parking space, from here you can either head straight on to the slopes via the Northside Express chairlift or ride a free shuttle bus up to the village.
- No, if you leave the mountain in your vehicle you will need to purchase another day entry pass for your vehicle if you return the next day. If you stay overnight you need to have purchased a resort entry ticket that covers the entire period of your stay.
