If you are bringing a vehicle with 9+ people, you will need to purchase the 'Minibus' Resort Entry product per passanger.

BEFORE ARRIVING
Print your Resort Entry Dashboard pass before you leave and have it ready to show at the gate.
If you cannot print ahead of time, stop by the staff booths at the Mirimbah Entry Gate to get it printed for you.
Pick up chains before entering the resort. By law, all vehicles must carry wheel chains after the Mirimbah Entry Gate. You will be instructed if you need to fit them on your car when driving up the mountain.
ARRIVING
As you enter the resort, our parking team will direct you to the next available parking area.
Then, catch the free Carpark Shuttle bus from the car parks to the Mt Buller Village and get on the slopes.
If you have a valid lift or sightseeing ticket you may also be able to catch the Northside Express chairlift for direct access to the ski slopes, depending on snow conditions.
Mt Buller has eleven car parking areas, ranging from 1km below the Village, to the Mirimbah Entry gate at the base of the mountain.
All parking areas are exposed to the weather. Please check the forecast before travelling and dress appropriately for an alpine environment, with warm, waterproof clothing and suitable footwear.
Got an electric vehicle? Find an EV charger conveniently located at the Horse Hill carpark. Ask parking staff when you arrive where to go.
DEPARTING
At the end of the day, you can return to your car park by taking the Northside Express Chairlift to Horse Hill or catching the free Carpark Shuttle bus from the Village Square. Shuttle buses go to all car parks.

Yes! Mt Buller is approximately a three hour drive from Melbourne, and is a great day trip option year round.Don't feeling like driving? Catch a bus from Melbourne straight to the Mt Buller Village instead.

All vehicles visiting Mt Buller or Mt Stirling during the declared snow season must carry diamond pattern wheel chains. You will be directed to fit chains to your wheels if necessary by staff on your drive up the mountain. Want to skip the chains hassle? There are alternative options to get to the Mt Buller Village - including parking off mountain and catching the Village Express from the Resort Entry Gate to the Village, or catch a bus all the way from Melbourne instead.

Yes, Resort Entry & Parking is required for cars entering Mt Buller and Mt Stirling during the snow season. Pre-book your Resort Entry online and print the dashboard pass ahead of time to skip the line at the Mirimbah gate and drive straight on up!
Don't forget you'll need to carry wheel chains to enter the resort during the declared snow season.
Staying overnight? You'll also need to book a Ride Share, to transfer you and your luggage from the overnight carpark to your accommodation. The Carpark Shuttle bus does not connect to the overnight carparks.

Mt Buller is just 3-hours from Melbourne. There are a few different routes you can take if driving from Melbourne, or you can catch a bus!
If driving to Mt Buller you will need to carry Wheel Chains once you are past the Mirimbah Entry Gate. You will be told if you need to put them on.
Book your Resort Entry and print the dashboard pass ahead of time for express entry - just drive straight up to the carpark where you will be shown where to park.
Staying overnight? You will need a Ride Share to transfer you and your luggage from the overnight carpark to your accommodation.

A number of bus services operate between Mt Buller and Melbourne during the snow season. The majority of services depart from Melbourne CBD, Tullamarine Airport or other outer suburbs.

When you arrive at Mt Buller, staff will direct you to the nearest available park - depending on if you are coming for a day trip or an overnight stay.
Mt Buller has eleven different car parking areas - so make a note of where you are parked to easily return at the end of your stay.
From there, catch the free Day Carpark Shuttle to the Village if you're just coming for a day, or catch your Ride Share to your accommodation if you are staying overnight.

If you can’t print your dashboard pass before you leave home, stop by the Resort Entry gate at Mirimbah with a copy of your purchase confirmation on hand. The resort entry staff there can print your pass.
You must have a printed pass on your dashboard and failure to present one may incur a fine.

You will be required to purchase a 'Day Car Park' Resort Entry. This fee is per vehicle. There is an online discount available if you pre-purchase this at least 1-day prior to arrival. Print your dashboard pass ahead of time for express entry.
If you do not own wheel chains that fit your car, you will need to rent them for your visit. Legally you must carry wheel chains when driving to Mt Buller. Chains cannot be booked online, but your can find where to find chains here.

You can still pre-purchase resort entry, or you can purchase on arrival. Either way, you will then need to stop at the Mirimbah Gate and the resort entry team can record your vehicle registration information and print your pass.
- If you have a vehicle with over 9 seats, you will be required to complete a bus manifest and pay a per person fee. Book the Resort Entry "Mini Bus - Adult Passenger" product for each person in the vehicle. For vehicles over 12 seats, follow the Tour Groups procedure.
- The Day Carparks on Mt Buller are located 1-2kms from the main Mt Buller village. Parking attendants will greet and direct you to the closest available parking space, from here you can ride the free Day Carpark Shuttle bus to the Village (or head straight on to the slopes via the Northside Express chairlift if snow permits!). The Village connects to the Bourke Street Express Chairlift, to get you skiing quickly.

Drivers only need to carry an Hazardous Area Authority if they fall into one of the following categories:
1. The vehicle has 13 or more seats (including the driver) that are operated by a person who is either accredited or registered to provide bus services under the Bus Safety Act 2009:
- for hire or reward
- as part of a courtesy service, or
- for, or in connection with, the activities of a religious, philanthropic, educational, sporting or social body
2. Vehicles that seat more than 30 people (including the driver).
