2018 Mt Buller Wild West Adventure Race

A "navigational' pairs race to 10 secret checkpoints in and around the Mt Buller ski fields, with the fastest Open Team collecting $1000 cash 1st prize, the fastest Junior Team will win $200 cash. Plenty of spot prizes also to be won, including a "Best Dressed" prize of $200 to the team dressed in the best Wild West costume.

The course can be completed on skis or snowboards, however, there may be some checkpoints that you will NOT be able to ski or board to! The course should take most teams approximatley two hours to complete, and all competitors MUST have a valid lift ticket.

Represent your Ski Club or Lodge to take home the Lodge Champions trophy.

Entry is only $20 per Open Team of two and only $10 for a Junior Team (ages 14yo to 17yo) entry. If a junior entry wishes to compete with an adult then simply enter the Open division. There is no male/female division for this event, and mixed teams are most welcome.

We MUST receive 15 Open entries and 10 Junior entries prior to close of registration in order for the event to go ahead. All entries are strictly online via Eventbrite, there are NO on the day entries.

All competitors must be present for a pre-event briefing, Mt Buller Village Stage at 9:30am Saturday 15 September, prior to the race start at 10:00am. Presentations will then take place at 2:00pm in the Mt Buller Village square.

This event will also be weather dependent with the race organiser free to make course alterations or cancel the event due to conditions on the day to ensure the safety of all competitors.

In the event of a cancellation due to insufficient entries or poor weather a full refund will be issued.
