EVOCATION exhibition

EVOCATION - evo·​ca·​tion| ˌē-vō-ˈkā-shən:  the act of bringing or recalling a feeling, memory, or image to the conscious mind.

Tony Harrington's latest collection of images is set to inspire and delight in Alpine Central from 7 August.

There are various "collections" included within the Evocation Exhibit, each exploring different genres of shooting and location - there's something for everyone.

These images capture what are personal memories for Harrington. Snippets that evoke a place and a particular time. Like a familiar scent or musical refrain the associated emotions; these works are about memory, recollection and an emotional recall.

Highlights include historic images shot here at Mt Buller of structures like the old Kooroora and Blue Bullet, now gone.  Also included are dramatic aerial captures of the resort in black and white and some new dreamy pastel ‘painting with light’ images that Harro has created by the ocean’s edge in Hawaii. 

EVOCATION opens on 7 August at Mt Buller’s Alpine Central through September.
