Mt Buller’s official summer season launch weekend will kick off 2 December with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy across the weekend.
The weekend celebrates the start of Mt Buller’s green season, and will include an action-packed schedule of free activities, from mountain bike lessons and guided trail runs, to morning mountain yoga and a Pump Track party featuring DJ’s and Jamieson’s Wrongside Brewery. For the kids there will be a jumping castle, and the village square fire pits will be fired up and ready to toast marshmallows.
The season launch marks the official opening of the entire bike trail and running network, which includes over 100kms of cross-country and downhill trails ranging from beginner to advanced skill level. In exciting news for gravity riders, Mt Buller’s Northside Express chairlift will be operating over the weekend to service the downhill network.
Gillian Dobson, Marketing Manager for Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management, can’t wait to kick start the season. “We’re looking forward to a busy summer season ahead, and this weekend is a great way to officially kick things off. We’re pleased to offer such an extensive calendar of events and activities, making Mt Buller the perfect spot for a summer holiday.
“Whether they walk, hike, run or ride guests will find escaping to the cool mountain air, and the stunning alpine scenery at Mt Buller the ideal way to enjoy a summer getaway”.
The summer launch will usher in Mt Buller’s comprehensive summer events calendar, which includes running and bike riding events, the annual Picnic in the Park and Easter weekend celebrations.
