Located in the heart of the Mt Buller village, Hotel Pension Grimus is a family-owned boutique hotel offering hotel rooms, self‑contained apartment accommodation, renowned dining and bar venues, and on-site ski & snowboard hire services. With a strong reputation for personalised service and genuine European alpine charm, we provide guests with an unforgettable mountain experience.

 

JOIN THE FRONT‑OF‑HOUSE TEAM AT MT BULLER’S MOST ICONIC ALPINE HOTEL.

Hotel Pension Grimus is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced customer‑focused Front Office Guest Services Agent for the winter ski season. This is a fast‑paced, guest‑facing role perfect for someone who thrives in a busy hospitality environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

With the Front Office being the central communication point for the hotel, you will manage guest arrivals, departures, reservations, guest enquiries, and any required coordination with other departments. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to calmly multitask especially during high occupancy periods.

 

 ABOUT YOU

  • Previous hotel reception and reservations experience required.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems, OTAs, and booking processes.
  • Experience with check-in and check-out processes, including guest services
  • Professional presentation, excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Able to maintain accurate invoicing, data entry, and records including cash balancing and reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems, attention to detail and accuracy in administration tasks.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively.

 

CONTRACT DETAILS

  • Fixed-term contract for the winter ski season.
  • Weekend, public holiday and split shift availability required.
  • On-site accommodation and meals package available.
  • Role requires consistent on-site presence during peak winter periods.
  • 38–48 hours per week depending on occupancy.
  • 6‑day rotating roster with early, late, and some split shifts
  • Work conditions subject to alpine weather and operational demands.
  • Suitable for Australian residents or Working Holiday Visa holders (417/462)
