Spurs Smokehouse
The biggest on snow venue on the far north-side with the best views on the mountain. Next to the top of the Northside Express chairlift, experience mouthwatering Iron Maiden Smokehouse BBQ then stay for Après!
Southern Cross Smokers dropped the Iron Maiden Offset Smoker Barbecue on our doorstep in 2019. She’s a ripper, weighing in at a whopping 4.02 Tonne, quadruple steel framed shelves and a heat management system in the main chamber, there’s nothing she can’t handle! She started life as a steam boiler used to generate power before sitting in a paddock for 40 years before Southern Cross smokers gave her a new lease on life.
We base our menu around what we cook, ‘low and slow’. There’ll be beef brisket, pork butts and pulled pork burgers, house made sausages, delicious chickens and an array of tasty vegetables. We supplement all that with delicious pickles, sauces and salads - what more could you want?
A bar with a small wine list if you need a little warming courage to tackle the slopes again.
We’ll open with the first lift of the day, offering morning coffees, freshly baked goodies like ham and cheese croissants, fresh waffles with maple syrup and bacon and avocado toast are all on the menu. We’re open all day to offer a great environment to hang out, buy a fresh meal and replenish for a huge day of skiing.
