Resort Entry, Parking and Transfers

More info

Resort Entry

All vehicles entering Mt Buller or Mt Stirling during the declared snow season pay a Resort Entry fee that supports the provision of essential services including road clearing and parking facilities.

  • Print your pass before you come so you can enter the Resort quicker.
  • Valid for vehicles with 9 or less seats
  • Not valid for commercial operators, bus/coach entry fees apply
  • The car parks are located 1 - 4kms below the Mt Buller Village, from where you can take the Northside Express chairlift to the slopes, free shuttle for day visitors to the village, or Ride Share to accommodation.
  • Season Pass holders visiting for a day on weekends in July or August are required to reserve a space at least 12 hours before arriving.

Wheel Chains

All vehicles entering the resort must carry diamond pattern wheel chains.

Wheel chains can be hired in Mansfield, Merrijig, or Mirimbah. You must have them in your vehicle from Mirimbah entry onwards.  Wheel chains are not available for hire on-mountain.

NOTE - a number of cars are unable to fit chains in accordance with their user manual, plus some tyre sizes may be inappropriate for snow chains (wide and/or low profile tyres are often difficult to fit).

Hiring Wheel Chains

You need to hire wheel chains before you arrive at the Mirimbah entry gates (at the bottom of the mountain). Wheel chains cannot be hired on-mountain.

Vehicle Season Pass

Vehicle Season Pass provides entry to Mt Buller and Mt Stirling day and overnight car parks only (no access/parking in Mt Buller Village). Vehicle season passes are not available to commercial motor vehicles including any motor vehicle which is used or intended to be used for carrying passengers for hire or reward.

Reservation system for weekend entry.

You must reserve your vehicle entry before visiting on weekends throughout the season. To book a reserved space, please click here and select Resort Visits. Booking Guide click here. For further information please click here .

The season pass is not transferable and can only be allocated to one vehicle’s registration.

Coaches, commercial and tour operators, School Groups, and vehicles with more than 10 passengers pay a set price per person. For more information click here.

Vehicle access to the Mt Buller Village is restricted during snow season. There are a number of transfer options between the car parks and the village. Click here to find out more.
